The Armenian Association of Social Workers invites qualified professionals to join the teams of its Social Work Hubs as Social Skills Educators.
The Hubs provide psychosocial and socio-economic support to displaced and vulnerable populations, promoting their social activation, self-reliance, and community inclusion. The Social Skills Educator is responsible for developing beneficiaries’ life, social, and practical skills, supporting their socio-economic activation and sustainable self-sufficiency.
Duty Station
The position is based in the following communities:
- Armavir (including Armavir and Vagharshapat communities)
- Hrazdan (Hrazdan consolidated community)
- Abovyan (Abovyan consolidated community)
- Masis (Masis consolidated community)
- Goris
- Yerevan

Duration
April 1 – December 30, 2026
Position Objective
To support the development of beneficiaries’ social, life, and practical skills, promoting their socio-economic activation, self-reliance, and employability.
Scope of Responsibilities
Development of Social and Life Skills
- Develop and implement group-based social skills development programmes
- Strengthen communication, cooperation, and teamwork skills
- Support development of conflict management and problem-solving skills
- Promote self-confidence, self-expression, and a sense of responsibility
Socio-Economic Activation
- Implement activities aimed at improving beneficiaries’ employability and job readiness
- Develop work-related behaviors, time management, and goal-setting skills
- Support development of financial literacy (budgeting, expense management, saving)
- Assist beneficiaries in identifying vocational pathways and employment opportunities
Development of Independent Living Skills
- Support development of self-care and daily life management skills
- Promote independent decision-making
- Contribute to long-term self-sufficiency and sustainability
Group and Community Work
- Organize community engagement activities
- Promote active participation of beneficiaries in community life
Teamwork
- Collaborate with social workers, psychologists, and other specialists
- Participate in case discussions
- Provide input on beneficiaries’ progress
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain records of group and individual activities
- Document progress and challenges
- Prepare periodic reports
- Ensure confidentiality of beneficiaries’ data
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Higher education in Social Work, Pedagogy, Psychology, or a related field
- At least 2 years of professional experience
- Knowledge of group work and non-formal education methods
- Experience in socio-economic or employment-related programmes is an asset
- Computer literacy (MS Office and online tools)
- Excellent command of Armenian (knowledge of English is an asset)
