The Armenian Association of Social Workers invites applications for vacant Social Work Supervisor positions within the framework of the program “Empowering Communities: Tailored Social Support and Protection for Displaced Populations.”
Social Work Centers to be established in the communities of Masis, Abovyan, Vedi, and Yerevan
Position Objective
The primary objective of the Supervisor is to provide professional support and development to the team of social workers, ensuring the quality of case management processes, effectiveness of services, and a professional, ethical, and structured approach toward beneficiaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group supervision to social workers
- Ensure quality control of case management processes (assessment, planning, intervention, monitoring, and closure)
- Analyze complex cases and support the team in professional decision-making
- Strengthen team capacity through discussions, reflective sessions, and learning processes
- Ensure adherence to professional ethics, confidentiality, and a beneficiary-centered approach
- Contribute to the prevention of professional burnout within the team
- Participate in the development of methodological materials and program improvement
- Collaborate with the program manager and other professionals
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of supervision processes
Required Qualifications
- Higher education in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
- At least 5–7 years of professional experience in social work
- Experience in providing supervision or participation in relevant training
- Strong knowledge of case management and social service systems
- Proven team leadership and facilitation skills
- Analytical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent knowledge of professional ethics principles
- Fluency in Armenian; knowledge of English is an asset
- Computer literacy (MS Office, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with vulnerable groups (children, families, displaced persons)
- Experience in international programs
- Experience in conducting trainings and capacity-building activities
- High level of stress resilience and responsibility
