Job Announcement (Deadline Extension) – Junior Social Worker

The Armenian Association of Social Workers invites qualified professionals who meet the required criteria to apply for the re-announced vacancy of Junior Social Worker at its center located in Martuni, Gegharkunik region.

Position: Junior Social Worker

Location: Gegharkunik Region (Martuni community)

Position Overview

The Junior Social Worker is responsible for providing comprehensive social and psychosocial support to displaced and vulnerable individuals and families, contributing to their social recovery, resilience building, and community integration.

Key Responsibilities

1. Case Management and Individual Work

  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments of beneficiaries
  • Develop and implement individual case management plans
  • Organize and deliver individual counselling sessions (trauma, stress, consequences of displacement)
  • Monitor case progress and ensure continuous support

2. Capacity Building of Beneficiaries

  • Support beneficiaries in making independent decisions and advocating for their rights
  • Organize group meetings to promote experience sharing and strengthen community ties
  • Deliver educational and psychosocial support activities (seminars, exercises)
  • Facilitate beneficiaries’ participation in community events and initiatives

3. Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain proper documentation of work with beneficiaries (records, case plans, notes)
  • Ensure confidentiality of personal data
  • Prepare regular reports on interventions, outcomes, and progress

Required Qualifications

  • Higher education in Social Work or currently enrolled in a Social Work program
  • Previous experience in social services is considered an asset
  • Practical skills in effective communication with beneficiaries
  • Ability to work in a team and make independent decisions
  • Strong sense of responsibility and adherence to professional ethics
