REACT: Relief and Early Recovery for People Affected by Conflict, in Armenia
ABOUT PROJECT
Under the REACT project, AASW aims to build the resilience of conflict-affected population in 5 marzes of Armenia (Syunik (Sisian, Tatev), Vayots dzor (Malishka, Jermuk), Tavush (Dilijan and surrounding communities), Kotayq (Abovyan, Charentsavan), Gegharqunik (Vardenis and Geghamasar)) and Yerevan.
The Project is implemented with the funding of the EU Humanitarian Aid by the Armenian Association of Social Workers in cooperation with People in Need Armenia, ACTED and Mission Armenia.
PROJECT COMPONENTS
Dimension 1: Psycho-social and protection services: including psychological counseling, peer-support sessions, stress-management sessions, positive parenting trainings, as well as, legal and healthcare awareness and counseling, engagement and referrals to social services; psycho-social therapy; prevention of possible violence and marginalization in the context of social case management.
Dimension 2: Community activation and mobilization: including youth educational services, recreational activities and art workshops for displaced children (up to 18) and community representatives jointly. This also includes training of local social service workforce (community social workers, case managers, teachers, healthcare workers, police officers, NGO representatives and local administration representatives).
