Job Announcement (Coach)

The Armenian Association of Social Workers, within the framework of the project “Empowering Communities: Comprehensive Social Support and Protection for Displaced Populations,” is expanding its services in Social Work Centers.

Position Objective

The purpose of engaging a Coach is to support the professional teams of the Social Work Centers in Hrazdan, Nor Hachn, and Sardarapat in strengthening their practical experience, enhancing professional capacities, and fostering effective team collaboration.

The Coach will work with the teams in a developmental and supportive manner, contributing to the identification and strengthening of professionals’ potential, the development of reflective practice, and the adoption of more conscious and effective approaches in their daily work.

Scope of Key Responsibilities

The Coach will be responsible for facilitating a collaborative and developmental process with the professional teams of the centers, including:

  • Organizing and conducting individual and group coaching sessions aimed at developing professional and interpersonal skills,

  • Conducting joint home visits with social workers as a practical learning and experience-sharing opportunity, promoting reflection and analysis of work situations,

  • Facilitating reflective discussions and intervision sessions, enabling professionals to share experiences, discuss work-related situations, and jointly explore possible solutions,

  • Supporting the development of case documentation skills, including note-taking, case descriptions, and professional reporting,

  • Promoting team collaboration, mutual support, and open communication within the professional teams,

  • Contributing to the establishment of a reflective and developmental work culture within the centers.

Qualifications

  • Higher education in social work, psychology, education, or a related field,

  • At least 5 years of professional work experience,

  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, supervision, or capacity-building programs,

  • Experience working with teams and facilitating professional development processes,

  • Ability to apply reflective and inquiry-based approaches,

  • Strong communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills,

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
