Project Title: “RISE – Armenia: Rehabilitation, Social Inclusion and Empowerment of the Displaced and Vulnerable Population” Programme.
Project Goal: is to improve the social protection system for vulnerable populations in Armenia, including persons displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, through the capacity development of social workers, as well as through ensuring access to new social services, including patronage, social care and socio-rehabilitation services.
Project Duration: November 2024 – August 2027
Reports to: Centre Supervisor
Start Date: 01 August 2026
End Date: 30 May 2027
Purpose of the Position
The Speech Therapist is responsible for providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to beneficiaries of the Ashtarak Multifunctional Social Care Service, contributing to the development of speech, language, communication, and, where relevant, swallowing functions, while promoting functional improvement and social inclusion for children and adults.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct speech and language assessments of beneficiaries using appropriate professional assessment tools.

Develop, implement, and periodically review individualized speech and language intervention plans.

Deliver individual and group speech and language therapy sessions tailored to beneficiaries' needs.

Provide counselling and guidance to parents, caregivers, and family members to ensure the continuity of interventions in home settings.

Provide professional consultation to members of the multidisciplinary team, as required.

Work closely with social workers, psychologists, social skills trainers, and other specialists to ensure the implementation of beneficiaries' individualized support plans.

Participate in case conferences, multidisciplinary team meetings, professional supervision sessions, and capacity-building activities.

Maintain all required professional documentation, assessment forms, service records, and reports.

Ensure the confidentiality of beneficiary information and comply with professional ethical standards.

When required, provide outreach/mobile services in the settlements of the Ashtarak consolidated community.

Perform other duties relevant to the position as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
-
University degree in Special Education (Speech Therapy/Logopedics).

At least three years of professional experience as a Speech Therapist.

Experience working with children and/or adults.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Excellent command of Armenian.

Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
-
Participation in professional development training will be considered an asset.
