
Minimum Standards for Social Services: Training for Small Grantees

A two-day training meeting was held in Aghveran on January 30 and 31 of this year for small grant organizations as per the "Together for Social Communities" program.
A two-day training meeting was held in Aghveran on January 30 and 31 of this year for small grant organizations as per the "Together for Social Communities" program.
During the meeting, the features of providing social services were discussed, as well as the features of the application of service standards, specifically concerning small grant programs.
The course was conducted by Manane Petrosyan, head of programs of the Association of Social Workers of Armenia, and Tatevik Karapetyan, coordinator of small grant programs.
The participants discussed the features of the concept of "social service" and also explored areas of intersection among services directed to the beneficiaries. A canvas for the implementation of social services was created with united efforts.
In the form of group works, the participants worked on the development of ways of building a "social service" and the peculiarities of its delivery.
The project is implemented by Hilfswerk International (HWI) in cooperation with Armenian Association of Social Workers (AASW), "Partnership and Training" Education and Cooperation for Civil Society, GUM NGO, P&T NGO, and Family and Community NGO. The project is funded by the European Union and the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), the operational unit of Austria's development cooperation.
