The Armenian Association of Social Workers is the largest professional social work organization in Armenia, bringing together more than 1,000 full and supporting members from academic, practical, state, and non-state institutions.

The Association aims to:

• Improve Armenia’s social protection system through its promotion of social policy reforms
• Support the development of the Institute of Social Work
• Protect the interests and rights of Armenian social workers
• Design and text innovative models of social services

With these goals in consideration, the Armenian Association Social Workers organizes a variety of collaborative events which are designed to contribute to the development and recognition of the social work profession in Armenia. Such events include: local and international conferences, public hearings, round table discussions, and seminars.

Since its formation, the Association has continuously promoted the improvement of the quality of social services through its development of field professionals, innovative social service models, and relevant professional literature in the Armenian language.
